About Me

Hi there! I’m Travis, the creator behind this zero-waste journey. I live in a cozy town of Asheville, North Carolina surrounded by nature, which fuels my passion for sustainability and reducing waste. About five years ago, a moment in my own kitchen changed everything. I realized just how much we were throwing away each week. Looking at an overflowing trash can filled with spoiled produce, plastic packaging, and half-used condiments, I decided enough was enough.

With my family’s support (and sometimes playful resistance!), I’ve transformed our kitchen into a near-zero-waste haven. We now generate less than one small bag of waste each month and save over $200 on groceries. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve learned that the best changes are the ones that fit into real life. Perfection is not required, just a little bit of commitment and a bit of creativity.

Here, I share what I’ve discovered about sustainable, budget-friendly living, from creating a zero-waste kitchen to DIY cleaning solutions that actually work. My goal is to help others make simple, meaningful changes that reduce waste, save money, and make life a little greener.

Whether you’re new to the zero-waste lifestyle or a seasoned eco-warrior, I hope you’ll find ideas and encouragement here to start or improve your own journey. Let’s work together, one small change at a time, to create a more sustainable world. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!
